FEAR NOT…

For years, I have dealt with waves of heightened fear of failure. It has historically paralyzed me into a state of stagnation and defeat. However, with much intentional work (therapy, research, self-reflection, crucial confrontations and MUCH more), I am equipped with a toolkit that I can use to manage myself during trying times.

Awareness is only a portion of the solution. Execution and consistency is what actually yields results. Now that I am equipped with my Life Management Toolkit, it is up to me to utilize it with discipline and urgency. After gaining a deeper insight into how much I had lost due to fear and how far I had to go to restore it, I experienced a mixture of excitement and intimidation. I am not sure if you’ve noticed a pattern here…but getting rid of fear is a lot harder that than wrapping myself up in its comfort.

I am now on a quest to reclaim my wellness holistically, and I will not give up. I know this for sure this time because my WHY is crystal clear now. My Godly purpose has been revealed to me in a way like never before. It’s like my destiny is yelling at me and forcing me to rise up and take up the space needed to be whole.

“When our behaviors match our intentions, when our actions are equal to our thoughts, when our minds and our bodies are working together, when our words and our deeds are aligned … there is an immense power behind any individual.” - Joe Dispenza, Breaking the Habit of Being Yourself: How to Lose Your Mind and Create a New One

Wifehood and motherhood are definitely components to this journey as I not only want to show up optimally for myself and God’s opportunities for me, but I am also responsible for and blessed to show up as my best self for my husband and our four daughters that we are raising to be whole young ladies of God. How can I cultivate my marriage and a lifestyle for my girls in strength and confidence when I haven’t done just that for myself?

Instead of falling into the rabbit hole of guilt for not being my best self today, I have created a plan for myself which includes new habits and new boundaries to expedite my journey and ensure its sustainability.

Ingredients for success:

  • Prayer & affirmations

  • Lively nutrition

  • Hydration

  • Cardio & Heavy weights

  • Rest

  • Not taking the actions of others personally

  • Surround myself with assets versus liabilities

  • Reading

Above you will see my recipe for reprogramming my identity. Each of these ingredients play an integral role in changing my self expression over time. The more data that I create in this new mindset and routine, the closer I get to a long-lasting shift.

Most change starts with the simple process of something outside of us altering something inside of us. If you begin the inward journey and start to change your inner world of thoughts and feelings, it should create an improved state of well-being. If you keep repeating the process in meditation, then in time, epigenetic changes should begin to alter your outer presentation—and you become your own placebo.
— Joe Dispenza, You Are the Placebo: Making Your Mind Matter

I will be sure to share updates along this journey. There is one disclaimer that I want to share: this is truly an internal experience because I have always had such a supportive and motivating village. I can’t say that I have not felt supported to optimize my wellness. This observation shines light on the ownership required to make a substantial change. It’s my time to take full ownership of this journey and my desired outcomes.

Peace Love & Power,

Salama
